Campese and Dobson learnt to play together in the Raiders lower grades. Dobson 7 Campese 6 should work like a well oiled machine.

Campese is on a 500k contract and is fit to play, but Ricky Stuart is doing what he does, which is hire guys one week and throw them on the scrapheap the next week.

I get the impression that Marwan Koukash likes to accumulate NRL players for some positions, especially halves, regardless of the need. But how many good props does Salford have?

We only have 3 half backs in the squad and I think Fages will see a lot of action as interchange hooker. An injury to 2 of them (far from impossible) and we'd be using Tommy Lee or the untried at this level at HB Niall Evalds. Whether Capese is the answer is v questionable but we could do with a utility player who could cover there at least

And since Koukash has been here our halves have been Sneyd, Fages, Chase, Smith, Lee. So not sure where the NRL collection is?

Props in squad are Tasi, Griffin, Taylor, Morley, Puletua, A Walne, Forster, Menzies, Groat

V happy with Tasi, Grffin, Taylor
Morley and Puletua getting old but both on outstanding form back end of this season, esp Puletua
Adam Walne looked very good before his season ending injury in 2014
Forster and Menzies meant to be capable of stepping up (esp Menzies I hear) but not seen them and don't think we can expect much from them early season
Don't know anything about Groat, not v impressed with his youtube clips, but may be good. Being given squad number 31 isn't v encouraging.
Most Salford fans are happy with options at prop I think. Not our strongest area but not bad
