A winger at £375k? I don't think so. The only club which would consider paying Hayne's asking price would be a club that needs a top class full back.

Benjamin Barba was a great asset to St Helens until the last quarter of the regular season. Jarryd Hayne could be just as influential for another SL club.

London would be massively boosted by having Hayne at full back, but I doubt that the owner David Hughes is willing to fork out such a huge sum of money for him. Still, there must be other Super League clubs who could afford him as a marquee signing.

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

How so?
On the park we have a balanced squad who to a man will play for each other, whilst off the park ANZACS have repeatedly show little interest in the capital for anything other than Union. Hayne has little attraction to any side other than maybe Toronto, who care less about the workings of a good team and more on the aesthetics......he can't seem to settle anywhere and rarely in the last few years has he delivered his fiscal worth.

Just a thought, but maybe if you stopped pretending to be French and admit that your Australian and on the wind up about anything English you'd get more reasonable responses to your outlandish posts. This post in point.....Hayne is past it in terms of the NRL, so you immediately say he'd be a star in the SL......you're just on a permanent wind up mission

Hayne is not past it in terms of the NRL. He had a very good second half of season in 2018. He can make a contribution to many NRL clubs, but most have reached their salary cap limit. Parramatta is a case in point. It would like to retain Hayne, but cannot do so because of his asking price unless they can offload other players, which they have been trying to do (e.g. Michael Jennings being offered to Newcastle, so far without result).

No doubt Hayne would be a star in Super League. St Helens would have benefited greatly if they had pursued Hayne rather than the unimpressive and mediocre Lachlan Coote.

there's certainly a vacancy at the dogs with the morris twins moving on and the possibility of shifting hopoate to centre, but given their monetary struggles last season would they really want to go for a big earner, especially as they have the makings of a decent side albeit one that is work in progress

Parramatta still want Hayne, but can't make him an offer unless they can get rid of some of their current contractees, like Michael Jennings and Mitchell Moses.

My point would be that a seriously interested Super League club, if it can afford £375k, can get an offer in soon and perhaps snap Hayne up, because his future in the NRL is uncertain at this moment.

Jarryd Hayne would be a huge success in Super League, possibly emulating Benjamin Barba's run for Man of Steel. Unlike Benjamin Barba, Jarryd Hayne is a good defender.
