early team news, george burgess out with a 4 match ban, also tomkins missing with a fracture and clarke with the injury sustained in the second test. richie myler to partner george williams in the halves (connor can step in if needed during the game i suspect). joe greenwood mooted to make his debut.

ticket sales looking pretty good also with only east stand upper not open for business yet, and the rest looking pretty full

I just hope we play Johnstone. I don't think I could put up with reading and hearing Wakey fans constantly cry arseing over his exclusion for the rest of the close season.

George Burgess is suspended, Sean O’Loughlin, Sam Tomkins and Daryl Clark are all injured. We could be forced to play Tom Johnstone at this rate.

Yes of course we could.

Much as he's a fine athelete and an excellent RL player, he wont be filling in at Prop, Hooker, Loose Forward or Scrum Half and with Makinson in such fine form, he'll be watching from the stands.

As one sage put it on the london forum recently, they finished just outside the top 4......or as us cockneys call it 5th
