Leigh's first Championship competition game under the Duffy will be against glamour side Toulouse Olympique, Sunday February 3rd. You couldn't ask for a better season kickoff. But I wonder how many Leigh fans will show up to help pay the club's bills.

There will be plenty support from Leigh. We certainly won't be relying on the away support…… all 20 of them.

It is the worst possible fixture for a club looking to replenish it coffers.

For 2 reasons;

1 The French wont bring any fans
2 The French will smash Leigh and the reality will set in amongst the faithful in Greater Manchester.

Leigh's first 5 league games are about as tough as they could possibly be.

Toulouse (H), Halifax (A), Fev (H), Toronto (H), York (A).

That's what is so brilliant about our Sport. The results are always so, so predictable! :wink:

Sadly in the championship there are 2 halves, the top 5 or 6 who will be fighting for SL and the rest fighting of relegation

When a team from the top group plays a team from the bottom group the result is very predictable, unless Leigh are in the top group like last year where they made a mockery of this. Fortunately this year they will be in the bottom group and the results will revert to being predictable.

Toulouse (H), Halifax (A), Fev (H), Toronto (H), York (A).

3 at home in-front of the faithful, what more can you ask for?

Bottom half or not, London will be stronger than Leigh by popping up the rest of SL. :lol: :lol: :lol:

What were your experiences of that?

The start of a real downfall for the mighty Leigh. 2 players and a coach signed so far. (one back and one forward so fairly balanced) 9 more players and you will have similar numbers to the end of last year.
