Anyhow, any victory against Leeds is just that little bit sweeter for the whipping boy rabble.

Why not, Id say only JJB probably wouldn’t now.

Not saying you didn’t have your own or more but people making it sound one sided. 12 out compared to 9 and that became 10 after 20 mins and a day less turnaround over Easter, isn’t as big a gap as made out.

But you have to agree the players we had out bar Arundel are first 17 players and a number of our best players. The players you named wouldn’t all play in your first 17 if fit.

You must be disappointed that Leeds could not beat that Trinity side despite dominating the first half

For accuracy here are Wakey injuries.

Arundel (Back up centre)

Brough
Miller (c) (captain and both starting half’s)

Wood
Randell (both starting and int 9s)

Huby
England (two starting props)

Batchelor (starting SR)

Also,

Young LF Crowther playing at 9 most of game.

Young winger Kershaw fist SL game. MCB having to fill in at centre.

Our full back in the halfs.

Make no mistake I wasn’t confident of a win for wakey today with a full team out almost. But I am very very pleased we roughed it out.

That’s a huge opportunity to beat wakey slipped through their fingers.

You forgot Reynolds, playing only his second SL game as well :D

At the end of the day both teams played well I thought considering who was missing.

And I think this is maybe one of our worst injury lists for a long time, we've been lucky the last two years.

There is really no comparison there Printer. You had internationals in your team. And you are surely not saying Ablett and JJB are your starting second row.
Watkins, Sutcliffe and Myler have all recently played for England. Ferris did a long time ago admittedly. You have a Back row that played for Australia. Both starting hookers and halfbacks playing.....I thought Dwyer had a great game by the way.
11 of your team had squad numbers in the 17.

You can't say that injuries cost you that game. Passing the ball in to touch when you had an overlap 2-3 times and passng to two of our fastest guys, cost you that game.

And I think we wanted it more.

Au contraire, it just goes to show what an excellent squad Chester has assembled.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

One thing I will say for Leeds is I like that Dwyer. I think he’s developing into a very good 9. Id definitely have him at wakey but not many others from Leeds which would have been crazy thinking a few years ago.

Watkins though.... he looks finished.

Sutcliffe started the year as a 2nd row, he’s only move to HB because Lolohea’s failed and was dropped and he only return to FB because of Walker’s injury to say our spine was first choice is incorrect.

Calling Sutcliffe an international based being called up from the Knights (where he played centre) for one game vs France is pushing it and Myler was about England’s 7th choice because of various injuries to HB’s. Watkins on the other hand is an established international but he’s also a shadow of his former self since his knee injury and doesn’t look right physically or mentally to be playing. Merrin only got off a plane from Aus on Saturday night after 2 weeks away so really had no preparation for this game. Squad numbers don’t mean too much right now because if everyone was fit they’d be a couple in there who wouldn’t be picked, namely Lolohea and Singleton who out at Fev earlier this year.

We had one guy we’ve got on trial from Widnes, one we picked up from HKR who they didn’t want, an 19 2nd row starting on debut, a 19 year old in centre, a failed HB at FB and a failed HB returning to HB and stints at centre and 2nd row over the last few seasons.

Injuries didn’t cost us the game, never said that but making out one team was massively disadvantaged to the other isn’t correct.

But, your failed HB, playing at FB is a "big" signing.
OK, he's out of condition and out of form but, you need to question why your club brought him over here.

I know he's not playing too well but, is he a marque signing ?
