It said on the BBC website that it was the Airport carpark so was he on his way home? Has anyone said he meant to do it (let’s hope not or whether it was an accident?

With regards the holiday insurance, his family should check his bank accounts as mine gives me free holiday insurance.

Had just split with his girlfriend too I hear

Report now saying his father has said that he phoned his Mum and said he was sat on the balcony and said “I love you” and then hung up...maybe it wasn’t to do with drink...and maybe he wasn’t in the right state of mind to think about taking out insurance...some folk are very quick to judge before knowing the full facts...

I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery...sounds like he’s been incredibly lucky! I’m a firm believer in life that things happen for a reason, so I hope going forward he gets the help and support he needs and some good can come from his miracle survival...

there wouldn't be a claim on insurance if it was deemed to be self inflicted

I think it was fairly apparent right from the start that it wasn't an accident. Given the circumstances, the tweets by his mates (Jackson Hastings primarily) and his own tweets about mental health, it was easy to put 2 and 2 together. I just didn't really think it was fair to speculate about stuff like that when the poor kid was looking in such a bad way.

As I had mentioned previously, one of his friends took his own life at the back end of last year, couple that with the reasons for his sacking from Salford and the rumour that his GF split with him as a result, it did appear to be what it now has come out to suggest. He has been incredibly lucky, a second chance, he needs to get help with his physical and mental recovery. Fingers crossed for him

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Yeah fingers crossed he makes a full recovery physically and mentally.

Good to read that Jansin is expected back in England today to continue his treatmeat at Hull Royal Infirmary. Hopefully, a full recovery is not too far down the line.
