Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'
The reason London gave up and let Wakefield get a few scores in the last 10 minutes was to distract their fans from having another go at smashing up the seats at Trailfinders- like they did when they lost in February!

I think the few idiots who caused trouble last time, were made aware before game day, the Wakefield CEO Mr Carter, would be sitting in the stand to observe and record any wanton acts by those idiots, and if identified, ban them. Our CEO, is very hands on sort of bloke.

Thank you
Did he storm off like he did after the first beating we dished out to you this season?

No he didn’t, he approached and spoke with a number of Trinity fans leaving the ground after the game. Anyone who has met or spoken with Mr Carter, will see he is a Gentleman, and has an excellent rapport with fans and players. He loves sports and never criticised match officials. Losing a game may disappoint him, but I doubt he’ll throw his teddy out.

Letting London win (twice) is all part of the grand plan, to keep Leeds in the relegation battle, after all, without our "performances" against you, London would already be planning for a swift return to the Championship.
Yes. It must be handy to know that you'll have 2 points waiting for the last game of the season just in case you need it. We'll probably help you with any points difference issues too.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

If leeds are anywhere near the footof the table by the end of June there will be a new structure announced......14 teams (possibly 13)........not a chance that they will let the biggest fanbase go down.....catastrophic in terms on the new TV deal.
