Catalans showed guts and skill. They have played without the Wigan boys Samuel Tomkins and Michael McIlorum, but still managed to win. The Frenchmen Antoine Gigot and Benjamin Garcia shone in this game.

Catalans have consolidated third place in Super League and are a real chance for Old Trafford.

The Leigh and Wakefield fans mentality......

Say something negative about any other team than theirs - Its an opinion

Say something negative about Leigh and Wakefield - TROLL

St Helens rested their first team and put 50 on Catalans who in turn destroyed the rudderless Wakefield Wildcats.

Next week we may see a bigger score than the time we put 70 past a hapless Milward coached Wigan in the Challenge cup.

Broughy back all being well on Saturday so should have much more direction...

It's a tough ask for sure...Saints quite clearly on another level to everyone else...

They were last season though and managed to choke in the Semis against the Catalans they put 50 past a few weeks back...

If Wakey can do the unthinkable and put together an 80 minute performance and really take the game to Saints like Salford did the other week then anything is possible...if we turn up only wanting to play half a match like we have been of late it could well be a 50 plus scoreline! I wouldn't rule anything out...the underdog tag will suit us just fine...

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Wakefield seem to be a rare team over the last couple of years who have consistently given saints a real game.

I'm envious.

But on the flip side for the past five years we've pulled our pants down for you lot and this year for London. We have Saints and Wire good games this year, still came away with 0 points.

"Look, I'd never use injuries as an excuse..." Daryl Powell

Wakey can spring a surprise here IMO. Wembley only 2 games away and while saints look brilliant against sides only playing to 90% or less of their capabilities they've shown a bit of uncertainty when not allowed to dictate.

Personally I think we'll get stuffed. Our record in the Challenge Cup is shocking.

Wakefield were just defeated by an understrength Catalans. Remember?
