Completely understandable. Can't be having nations making an impact on the 'Big 3' and bringing thousands of fans to their games. What were they thinking??

Don’t be daft. It’s all because of the internal fallout within Tongan RL itself. If anything this is a step forward as the “new” Tongan RL governing body can then take its place. That’s why it was called a Tonga Invitational side that beat Australia and GB.

It is merely a necessary next step to resolving the issue within Tongan rugby league and recognising whatever new body is set up in its place. The only downside to this is that, officially, the Tongan national side didn't beat Australia, unless the IRL Board retrospectively award them the win, because in reality the new Tongan RL will be whoever was behind the invitational team.
