Surely the real question here is why Huddersfield were paying money to Craig Kooczak’s wife? Particularly as the payment was made before his contract began?
More blatant cheating of the salary cap that other clubs who have been fined/deducted points.

And may conveniently keep Kopczak in the 20% tax bracket for a little longer, when you look at the figures.

Fielden and Mason always seemed to be at each other on the pitch. I get the impression that Fielden tried to have the last laugh.

The bloke who apparently did it caused: Mason's dismissal; bad publicity for the club and the game; and an expensive case to be heard.

Agreed. That and Mason’s frankly ridiculous wage were the 2 things that stood out for me. Other than what a bunch of w@nkers RL players are on “Mad Monday” and how some of them desperately need to grow up.
