We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Got to disagree with that one. iMO Clarke doesn't seem to have come on much since he left Cas in the times I've seen him against Salford. In fact I'd say he's gone backwards (or maybe he just hasn't performed against us). Roby is an outstanding player tho and even tho he's getting on a bit I'd rather face Clarke than Roby.

Roby up there with the greatest British hookers I've seen in my 30 years watching the game.

Ditto.

Personally I rate Houghton above Clarke now. Thought Clarke would have took Robys mantal, but had never really pushed on.

That's an awful shout. Clark has been unreal this season and better than his MOS winning season. He's a phenomenal player.

Watts has to be picked before Hill and Walmsley. Watts and Thompson have easily been the best 2 props in Superleague. 3rd best doesn't even come close to these 2 so if Hill and or Walmsley get picked before him then it's a joke.

Watts is a penalty machine every year.

You do know Tom Burgess is twice the player George is, don't you? Widdop over George Williams as well.

I'll bow to your greater knowledge if you've seen more of them than me this year. George has certainly done more in an England shirt. Widdop has been injured nearly all year hasn't he? Roby over Clarke for experience as much as anything given I'm recommending no Lockers, and now we'll have no S.Burgess either. Picked Hill because I think he knows how to intimidate without getting sent off, and again, experience when we'll be missing other experienced players.

Awful shout?

Clark has done nothing against Salford this year. Fact.

Roby is world class and has been for a long while. Fact. Admittedly he's getting on a bit but still a superb player.

I apologise that I seem to have upset Wire fans. :D I do like Clark as a player, he was phenomenal at Cas and looked like the heir apparent to Roby's throne. Hopefully he gets back to that level as he may just make it Wire's year next year.

Clark was simply terrible in the challenge cup final. Cant quite remember who the opposition 9 was

Didn't see it chief. :D

And you're seriously clutching at straws if you're gonna quote 1 game to highlight why Clark is (but blatantly isn't  ) better than Roby.

How about I say they're both excellent hookers (but Roby is better) to appease our friends from the Irlam overspill?

Right.... now back to why Josh Jones is better than Bateman.... :D

Yes sorry Jean, very rude of us to derail a thread.

All - Please remain on topic so Jean can impart his wisdom on the thread. :D
