Thats true it drew a lot of attention away from the Saints players, bt the end of the week they must have thought they were the underdogs.

Great for Salford though they were the only team who looked like beating our near full strength team convincingly in the Superleague rounds, in fact if they had played a Wigan or Warrington in the Final they most likely would be 2019 Superleague Champions by now.

I think you may be right that if we played anyone else we may have probably won.

The reason Salford got more inches in the media is due to the simple fact of the backstory. Saints waltzed comfortably into the GF. Journos could drag out lots of different stories from Salford's achievement whereas it was Saints clinical nature that offered less 'interest' stories in the media.

Couldn't agree more. I said as much after the game.

This Salford team would've comfortably beat either of the pies or Dire sides which contested the 2018 GF.

And it was only correct they easily got more coverage in the build up to Saturday. Them getting to Old Trafford was by far the biggest story and Saints flying under the radar in the lead-up to it suited us.

That Salford team would NOT beat a Shaun Wane coached Wigan team in a grand final and you know it!

Not sure what you're point is.
They were worthy finalists and gave a good account of themselves.

It said in the paper that Saints won so, it must be old news.

Shaun Wane is even further in the RL past and as one of your fellow fans said about Salford, is now irrelevant.

cool story etc etc

Hetherington isn't the Leeds chairman. Caddick isn't insecure enough to feel the need to come out and trash talk referees, and he lets people who know what they are doing run the club rather than interfering in an area he doesn't have any expertise in.

Why not? This Salford side has a more attractive and better brand of rugby than anything Wigan served up under Shaun 'knock people out' Wane for starters.

Because winning finals isn't about playing a better brand of rugby. If it was, wire wouldve won 2 grand finals against Wigan and saints would've won this years cup final.

I'm pretty sure that you (and a few other trolls) mentioned during last season's middle 8's that Hastings only looked good because he was playing against Championship/lower SL teams.

So I'd keep your botty waffle to yourself if I was you chief as you just continue to make yourself look a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Where did I say that about Hastings? Please provide a quote from RLFANS or else you should keep your "botty waffle" to yourself.

Seems as though I can't search for previous posts if I'm using my phone (which I currently am) so bear with me princess and I'll try and dig it out for you over the next couple of days. :HEARTKISS:

Bit like your mate Stephanie you do like to set yourself up for a massive fall so more than willing to give you a little push on this occasion.
