Have they got a new stadium yet, have they booty, have they been for nearly 20 years now producing grand schemes artists impressions etc of stadiums that have never materialised, yes that have. Has so much as a spade ever been stuck in the ground at any proposed site. NO.
So is my post utter nonsense.? no it's not is it.
It’s total nonsense, I’ve followed both clubs effort and both have tried incredibly hard. It’s nothing to do with smoke and mirrors as I say only an idiot would think that.
For both clubs it’s a mixture of bad luck and an unsupportive Council. We don’t all have a council who are willing to use money from the sale of its telecommunications shares to build a stadium. Or a football club to share the cost with. Or a retail tycoon to stump up the cash.
I don’t resent those clubs getting there lucky breaks but I do resent people like you kicking out at those who were less fortunate. I beleave there is a name for people like you.
Finally you name me a current SL club who have redeveloped or built a stadium without the support of a local authority, a football team or a developer (all three in many cases). Warrington is the only one that springs to mind.

IIRC Warrington's stadium was on the back of a Tesco development. However, several clubs in the 'lower leagues' have managed to redevelop their stadiums significantly without any such help......

I am not kicking out at clubs, but have presented hard facts, both clubs have failed to deliver a modern stadium despite promises and fanciful predictions, FACT. Just because You just don't like it does not make it nonsense, so maybe you should wind your neck in rather than name calling. Maybe both sides have been trying but both are still nowhere near a new stadium and Cas are now back to the drawing board.
whats happening at wakefield? i seem to remember some artists impressions of redevelopment at their current ground and the fact they were looking at a ground share possibly at barnsley whilst work was being done. is any of this still likely or did i dream it?
with a good sized shiny new seated stand on the donny road side and a full length covered terrace opposite you could have a nice stadium. Same goes for Cas - replace that awful small seated 'main' stand with a full length one and it would make a great difference. i know at cas 2 stands are hemmed in a bit by housing and a main road but there's room on the other 2 sides.
both these grounds must cost the clubs a small fortune in routine and reactive maintainence

End if the road for Castlefords new stadium dream, 2nd site to fall through. They could have mortgaged weldon road and redeveloped it by now after dicking about hoping someone would build them a stadium for free.

But he is right, the smoke and mirrors of Cas and Wakey during the franchise era was so transparent to everyone else but the RFL neither side are any closer to redevelopment or new stadium after nearly 20 years of talk. This Is not a gloat it's just a sad state of affairs, I for one wish both were in new grounds by now and every other club who still play in 1930s relics

The big question for both those suggestions is where is the money to carry out the re-development going to come from? Neither really has a pot to p in with Cas some £2.3m in debt to directors and Wake already have a 180% mortgage (£3.15m) on their ground.

Of course it's nonsense, because you were suggesting that Wakefield were involved in "smoke and mirrors" during the franchising era.
So, in your world, Wakefield Council spent a lot of money on devising a stadium and development in Thornes Park, including a detailed feasibility study, just so a rugby league club in the city could fool the RFL, this being a council headed by a Castleford season ticket holder. At the same time, the club owner sold Belle Vue to a company he was involved in, on the assumption that the development would go ahead (and it did look nailed on), as he could then make a profit on it, which led to the club going into administration ultimately. Just to fool the RFL.
Also in your world, a developer builds a huge development by the M62, after the Secretary of State ordered a public inquiry, just so that a rugby club could fool the RFL.
Yep, nonsense. But let's not spoil your delusions.

It has and was costing a fortune in rent to 88M and before that bank of Ireland & that's why we managed to get the stadium and the land that surrounds it into the Clubs ownership, so we can develop it and start earning money out of the place, more than the 14 home games or whatever it is.
Carter's brought in a new Director/owner to deal totally with getting Belle Vue redeveloped in sections. The first sectionto be done, as you hint at is the bigger east stand that runs from Donny Road, then the full length of the pitch and beyond., The old stand plus where the Superbowl and car park used to beis giving is the size we need to turn it into something worthy of the City and RL. Where apart from beating seating etc, there's going to be much improved corporate, bars and restaurants,, gym as well I think, as well other things like class rooms etc. According to a recent interviews with said director, planning permission is just about ready to go in, probably after Christmas for that stage of the development, it could have been sooner but apparently things like Brexit and then a GE has taken priority.Because it will be done in stages we won't be moving out, & it will start hopefully at the end of this next season and then the rest in off seasons in the future.
Also those artists impression were done by a company that owned the stadium before we did called 88M, that were trying to get in on the act, where they were going to build a stadium plus, student accommodation and others shops. Nothing to do with Trinity. Just like Newmarkets architects drawings that got planning permission for and also rubber stamped down in Westminster, contrary to what that complete WUM rolling turd says, that's another set of proposed pictures nothing to do with Trinity, just those using the club to get there fingers on about a 100m pounds of green belt land.
The WUM knows he's talking crap because he's done it all before and been proved wrong that somehow Trinity keep making stores up and keep having pictures drawn up just to fool everyone. I mean seriously what kind of plonker would even suggest such a thing, simply because it's so bizarre and secondly it's all so easy to prove wrong. I mean we've had not that long ago a number of back and fourths between the Council and the Club about the Newmarket project, I suppose that dude thinks it was fake news orchestrated by Trinity for some reason.
You have to feel for clubs like Wakey, Castleford and especially Salford. The latter flogged their home and are now tenants at a ground that just doesn't do it in terms of attracting fans to it. The other lot still only manage 6,500 there, Salford just over half that number...it holds 12k but ever will until transport to and from it is improved. I find it hard to believe that if still at the Willows, Salford would be getting 3k gates.... ...back to the issue of grounds being up to standard, London were given permission to play in a sub-standard facility in 2019. If the RFL/SL had allowed clbs to upgrade back in the licensing period, I suspect BV and the Jungle would be better grounds now than they currently are with hundreds of thousands wasted on "planning"

The RFL/SL stopped clubs upgrading their stadiums???? Do you mean MADE? As usual, the clubs themselves chose to spend their money on players rather than infrastructure.
