Or indeed televise their games at all. Surely the best reflection of what Sky feels various teams have to offer will be reflected in how often each features.

Because he has no idea what he’s talking about and just makes things up to support his narrative

I've never said that at all. but when people cannot find an answer to the point made they usually try to shoot the Messenger. They try to argue that the point is "only an opinion". They then demand "evidence" even though they have never posted a shred of evidence in their whole life on here!! Somehow they think that if they don't bother to research something, or listen to those who run the game then it never happened and was never said.......

Mr. McManus made it clear the SKY contract needed English clubs in it because it's English club fans who buy the subscriptions. He sad it not me. Mr. McManus and Mr. Pearson at Hull conceded that a couple of overseas clubs could be admitted with the aim of those clubs stimulating expansion in terms of a bigger player pool and such clubs getting their own TV deal to add to the one here. But Mr. McManus speaking for the SL clubs was not convinced Toronto were ever going to supply Canadian players or a TV deal.

If you want to question that then here are the contact details https://www.saintsrlfc.com/club/whos-who/

As for your "Troll" point you know full well why nobody on SKY would say anything against the clubs SKY are showcasing.

Ha ha - here we go again "shoot the messenger" trolling    You've been telling people on here for years how TWP are the future.

You've been ignoring the $10,000,000 debt, the absence of a cent of TV money, and no Canadian players ever.

Bottom of the league and set to run out of troops - Oh the glamour of it all  Bring on New York and Ottawa...

More! the crowds cry  all hail "expansion"....

Although they may form part of Sky's income, it's not the subscriptions that will decide the level of sponsorship from Sky, it's the level of advertising that they can secure on the back of showing RL on their platform.
Of course they would love to have 5X the level of subscriptions but, they would need to find a way to prevent people "watching from abroad" on dodgy systems.

Also regarding Toronto (and Catalan), if they dont receive a slice of the Sky "cake", it may be that the rest of the SL clubs are more than happy to have them make up the numbers.
For instance, if there were say, 6 overseas clubs in the comp, who didn't receive a share of the cash, the 6 UK clubs would receive a massively higher share ?

This isn't true at all because SKY have to provide the fans subscribing to watch their clubs play, with games involving their clubs. Way back when Huddersfield were serial losers, Huddersfield fans still paid their subs and were provided with Huddersfield games. Fartown offered nothing much but were featured as their fans were paying. Of course the successful clubs are on more because they won through to the play offs, and they probably provide higher numbers of subscribers.

Toronto Wolfpack and Les Catalans offer SKY nothing as their fans don't subscribe, but SKY can hardly demand they won't show these clubs. Mr. McManus dealt with this saying that SKY concede a couple of expansion clubs because they do not want to stand in the way of the game expanding it's commercial income and quality player base. That's how it is.

https://www.saintsrlfc.com/club/whos-who/ if you want to check with McManus. Question for you - how many players have TWP developed and how much TV money are they attracting in North America?
Thank you for your reply Mounsey.

Ultimately we exist because SKY pay for us to exist. SKY don't want a Transatlantic league they want an English league. The TV deal won't shrink it will disappear if we let all these phoney clubs in. The problem is the RL press doesn't have the guts or the honesty to make the slightest effort to analyse the effect of what this "expansion" as they call it will have on the game here.

Yes you did

I love you man, but your drifting so far outside the box the Wolves will get you.....

Again McManus confirmed that "The sky isn't the limit" The limit is three overseas clubs, so SKY wanted at least nine English clubs. HOWEVER the three places were a nod that the game needs to expand it's player base and commercial income footprint.

If those three clubs were say Les Catalans, Avignon and Toulouse and they brought in say a £40,000,000 French TV contract and developed say 40 top quality professional French players then that would be exactly why SKY would be happy as the game here would be happy, that real expansion can only be a good thing all round.

If those three clubs were TWP, Ottawa and New York same again - convert 60 top class grid iron players to quality SL players and get a $100 Million Foxsports TV deal. Real expansion.

But if you admit NY, Ottawa, Avignon, Toulouse to try to live the dream of expansion you then have to boot out Wakefield, Castleford, HKR and Huddersfield.

You then lose Mike Carter, Ian Fulton, Ken Davey and Neil Hudgell. You then see these clubs descend to be championship clubs, you then see academies and reserves at these clubs fold, you then see English fans pull their SKY subscriptions.

That's contraction

Clearly SKY would be happier with the whole of Superleague being English. why would we not offer them that?
SKY don't want overseas clubs. No SKY no game.
And again.

You repeatedly have said that Sky do not want overseas clubs.

Caught you out. Again.
