Personally I love and loath friedlies.

They blow off the cobwebs and if you win they do give you a faint glow.

They are vital to play for fitness purposes etc but they are utterly unimportant in terms of result, that’s the truth.

Rarely have I seen a friendly that truly represents how a team will perform in the coming season, in fact it usually the opposite.

The only thing they do show is if certain players have improved or billed up or are back to full fitness. You can spot individuals but not the team in these games.

Those who imagine they can are deluded imho.

I think that maybe you have missed stephie's not so subtle attempt at sarcasm about the best team in that league, one thing for sure the Leyther lads won't have.

Too right Wayne. As a Leyther, I resent the remark, when it's obvious that the best team in the Championship is Toulouse!!

How am I being sarcastic? Fev we’re runners up to Toronto last year but Toronto are now in SL. Ergo, Fev are the best team in the championship. Anyway, the Leigh fans know their team are no where near being the best so why would they get upset?

Huddersfield 42-6 Halifax
Pretty straight forward win for a strong giants side with sezer pulling the strings, fax were dogged but didnt really offer much

Hull fc 20 London Broncos 6. much stronger hull team this week, at least for the first half. naulago got a couple, trialist myers and debutant ligi sao got the others. Ligi Sao looks a real player - going to cause a lot of teams problems this season. josh griffin played his stint in the second row and did well. mahe fonua got stuck in too on his return.
London were impressive, looked to move the ball in attack but were particularly good in defence. in fact both teams defence was top notch, and the scond half was scoreless, though FC played mainly reserves in the second half. no apparent injuries for the teams either
