Look old chap, if my team were relegated they'd just change the rules to get us back in again; from that perspective I honestly couldn't care who is up or down, it's utterly irrelevant (although signing past-it, broken-down, Wigan reject thugs is hardly an intimidating statement of intent).
But from the point of view of clubs which have served their time, done the right thing by the sport and the people in it and who offer the best for the game's wider future Leigh don't cut it.
I honestly don't know why you find this unsatisfactory - it's hardly a unique perspective within the sport where the prospect of Leigh returning to Super League and Derek Beaumont returning to boardrooms is not particularly welcome.
