A truly horrible day and I don’t think anyone in the ground enjoyed it.

It didn’t relegate Bradford we were already in the championship.

When Danny Addy stepped up to take that penalty you had hope but tbh at no point did Wakefield look like losing. There was a difference between the two and you could see it.

I will admit to being very worried when you got the penalty.
Had that gone over, things may have been different.

The whole concept of "forced" last day deciders was wrong.
The Wakey v Cas game was a "freak" fixture and while fully accepting the excitement and increased press exposure.
Those fixtures were awful and difficult for the fans and more importantly, the clubs, to deal with.

Having been at both of those games, there was little pleasure in the games, just utter relief when they were over.

As I said, thank goodness they have been consigned to the bin.

Nice story bro' but, you made this up.

Pretty poor comment that isn't it?

It's all in the records books. You tell those that accused Wakefield of playing the system exactly why they did as badly as they did?

Over to you for the truth?

Was this the truth "when everyone inc Wakey fans said Wakey actually really deserved to go down.....", I dont think so.?
It was the system that was at fault here, not Trinity.
Every minute did NOT matter, it was a hair brained structure, culminating in a forced last day decider. Wrong, not neccessary and rightly consigned to the annals of history.

I don't think it was a case of not trying, we were just awful and were it not for the contrived league structure we would've gone down and Leigh would've come up.

Leigh had a real good dig yesterday and if they can get something close to their first 17 on the field, they should win a few games.
Well done to the fans that made the trip over, who supported their side for the full 80 and good luck with the survival campaign..

I think with a fit squad (far too many out) & a full set of forwards (or at least forwards.on the bench & some Props on the pitch) Leigh win that game. Also of note, if reviewed by a video ref Liam Kays try looked questionable.

First half Leigh the better side, overall probably the correct result. I just hopw we can sign some quality soon, after all, we only have to win one more than Salford !

He's right though. Plus I too don't remember any Trinity supporters stating we should have been relegated that season?

Looks questionable on those angles, but on Trinity TV (Filmed from behind the post) its 100% try no doubt at all.

Also Mellors try looks like a knock on on the grounding.

And Tierney try was off a forward pass
