Cas - Concede game against Saints : Mon Jun 28, 2021 7:06 pm
Saints have tonight be awarded the game against Cas tomorrow due to 'a range of unfortunate circumstances'. Namely that Cas can't field a team in Super League.

It's getting beyond a joke now. Any team not fielding a team should lose the points. Covid is just a convenient excuse for unprofessionalism and not fancying games. Tried to wriggle out of it but finally someone has seen through one of these 'covid crisis' situations and taken the points off them.

I know you're obsessed with conspiracy theories but what should Cas have done exactly?

24-0 to Saints. Happy with that. Probably much closer than the usual result.

Meanwhile Saints chose to opt players out of the International fixture to keep them fresh for the SL games.

Farce of a competition.

The England players were rested by Wane. Not sure if we didn't release any for the All Stars, but I doubt many of ours bar Grace and Paasi would get in that team anyway.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Conspiracy theories? Que?

I don't know. If they've genuinely got so many injuries, why did they loan another player out yesterday to York? Surely they would need him for their next game against Huddersfield? I sympathise with them, the scheduling of the England/All Stars game wasn't great but they had 17 first teamers for their last Super League game and a couple who played very well in the England game. It just seems more like a protest against the ridiculousness of the scheduling than them being genuinely unable to field a team. It seems a very Ian Millward moment. But if they've genuinely got around 15 injuries as claimed then fair enough.

We've only played 9 Super League games this season, some will have played 13 by the weekend. There are no spare weekends left. If tomorrow hadn't been judged a walkover, Saints would have been struggling to make the playoffs if any more got postponed.

The player we sent on loan 2 weeks ago, we recalled back to play against catalan, he came on in the 2nd half. It was very kind of york to allow him to play. There's every chance he's included In the players who are fit to play.

Yeah possibly, I'd forgotten them. I might be wrong but I think we didn't get any chosen as we had so many involved overall. But then they were cut from the squad by England or sent home with knocks. It is poor if we just didn't allow any of them to play.

You claim Cas are "wriggling out of it" and previously suggested Leeds deliberately allowed a deadly virus to spread amongst their squad to avoid a game.

I know Saints fans have gone all-in tinfoil hat in the past few years but... really?
