Re: Ranking the Super League stadiums from best to worst : Sun Nov 14, 2021 1:49 pm
The author of the article is either blind or, never experienced some of the grounds under review.Certainly, a visit to Headingley as an away fan would give a significantly different outcome and it's also interesting that The John Smiths Stadium is "down graded" because it's half empty..
I was there for an England v NZ game, with a full house and it was head and shoulders above Headingley, which is 3/4 of the way to being a top, top ground.
Similarly, the Stade Gilbert Brutus, has only 3 sides to the ground and surely, should be further down the list.
The Hull FC stadium is comfortably THE best SL ground, especially when close to capacity, a real cauldron of noise.
Wakey and Cas are rightly at the bottom of the list but, both, are excellent when there is a decent crowd and are preferable to being in a 20% full ground at The John Smiths but, Huddersfield is a cracking ground.
