Eden for me. I don’t rate Mullaney’s defence, he’s a liability under the high ball and his positional sense is poor. That said, he’s a threat going forward and obviously is only half decent goal kicker we have.
I’m interested at the thought of Mullaney at 7, purely because in the middle of the pitch he should be able to use his advantage and tag onto the shoulder of Hock etc. It’s a tough call though, our defence has been poor outwide and I would be tempted to use this as an opportunity to play another forward inlieu of a scrum half (Tommy Lee) to shore up our right side.
What a disaster though. Spend £70k to sign Smith, he has a dreadful season, let Sneyd go on-loan due to too many half-backs, then Theo gets injured and we’re left with nothing.
I cant see past a Widnes win I’m afraid. Big expansive pitch, they’ll exploit our weaknesses around the edges in particular Gleeson and Williams (weak side).
