He has just put on his Facebook page that he requires surgery and will be out for half of the season Great, the injuries have started a month early this year.

Great start to 2016! Not another Phil Bailey I hope. Salary, five months rent, air fares, medical costs and probably a club car and he won't have played a game for us. Only at Salford were cursed.

Has this happened since we signed him? If not we shouldn't have and sourced a replacement.

I was wondering why the lack of any form of publicity since he arrived, do hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

The pessimist in me says he'll be taking legal action against the club by September. It's become very fashionable for Salford players to be advised to do this nowadays.

Butcher that's exactly how I felt with Locke.
I know they are not the same person but both have come over with great expectations, injured and look how the Locke situation panned out.
I really hope he recovers well as I was extremely excited to see him rip it up in SL.
6 months is a longtime and I presuming he'll be one of the higher earners.

Anyone know if the injury happened before or after he arrived? If it happened before surely the player would be in breach of contract. If it happened since he came over it's just plain bad luck.

Did he arrive with the injury?

The rumour going around the twittersphere is that he's torn a pec - presumably in training since arrival? If so then I guess that's just the luck of the draw....... Of course being Salford if it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all!!
