URGENT: The future of this forum : Mon Mar 28, 2016 12:06 am  

We all need to have a serious discussion on the future of this forum as a matter of urgency. We are now nearing crisis point and if we dont come to a resolution soon new members will be put off commenting as every thread turns into mud-slinging and personal insults and arguments.

We are at a crossroads. Iain and Chico have now relinquished moderating duties and have withdrawn the naming rights to the forum with them. We need strong and committed new moderators and we need to discuss who, if anyone, will be banned from the forum. I have put my hand up and already said I will be a moderator. I have had several people private message me suggesting I become a moderator and am now publicly offering to do so again. Far too often the rules of the forum are being broken and they need to be enforced.

Our support has always been polarised between the apologists and the pessimists and maybe this has become more apparent in the Koukash years. This cant be allowed to spill over into attacks on this forum though.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to move forward, improve this forum or even willing to become a moderator please do comment below. Any sarcastic or unconstructive comments arent welcome and will be removed.

The easiest fix Marion is for you stay off or to cease posting your puerile intentionally antagonising drivel.

Making you a moderator would be the death of it as a great many (myself included) of the few remaining regular contributors would leave.

And herein lies the problem with the internet and Social Media. It gives idiots (yes, that is aimed at you Mario) the platform to air their brain f*rts. Unfortunately Mario and half a dozen others on here seem to thrive on the fact that they now have some sort of interaction with humans that would avoid them like the plague in real life and I suggest it is you that derails every thread Mario. Oh and no, I don't know anyone off this forum personally but I respect the vast majority even tho I don't always share their opinions.

You, however, "Mario" are a cretin! Please do us all a favour and feel free to set up your own "rival" forum. it should be fairly easy modding for half a dozen people!!! Your input/drivel/ramblings on here won't be missed.

Mario is right.
The level of personal abuse goes way beyond banter and deters people from contributing.
I don't think Mario should be a moderator because he is clearly unpopular on this site but I hope he still contributes - the more the merrier !
It is so unnecessary.
As he rightly says, there are the optimists and the pessimists, and I hope that will always be the case because it makes for better reading.
Some of the contributions on the previous thread were embarrassing.
Forget moderators,let's have some self discipline

Are you seriously supporting Mario? I'm sorry but Mario has done nothing but poop stir on this forum since he first "graced" us with his presence and he is the epitome of what an internet troll is. I love debate but I don't think I've ever seen him offer anything to a discussion. He's just an attention seeker and a trouble causer and I'd quite happily never see his name "contributing" on here again.

This site used to have some great debate but it's gone to the dogs and that's due to the Mario's/LanceTodd's/EcclesStar's of this world....

Good post Mario. This is how i see it, The above is exactly what Mario is on about. The above Ad Hominem attacks are totally unprovoked.In my case. All "Butch'' does is stalk me around the forums with numerous alias's provoking a squabble regarding a certain subject where he then tirades atypical parody of brain insults. The lad has a deep routed cognitive dissonance problem hence his continuous obsessive ad hominem attacks. Then you get "Butch's'' conjoined twin parroting the same vitriol. I admit i retaliate but its only through provocation.
