I haven't stood by the club for most of the season with regards to off-field incidents, but on this one I am fully in support of their decision to suspend Rangi even on the eve of yet another important game. If you have a player who flaunts the rules and does not adhere to the same principals as the rest of the squad, then you deserve to be punished accordingly. Don't be confused with thinking this is all Marwan Koukash' doing either, Tim Sheens will have instrumented all of this as all football related matters are dealt with by him and the coaching staff only.
Rangi is a huge individual talent, we all know that but as I am sure certain Cas fans will tell you he is also a massive pain in the ar$e to have around your club. In an environment like ours, he has been allowed for too long to have a greater say on matters and we're now seeing the results of this. He is an extremely arrogant person and after this, do we really want that kind of player at our club? How must other players earning far less than him react when they see him acting with a blatant disregard of club rules.
He's on a very lucrative contract at Salford, so much so he is our highest earning by some way. That money could quite easily be spent elsewhere including an adequate replacement for Rangi.
Remember how distraught Cas were after he left? They soon forget about him.
