I don't think we'll be in the Championship because I don't think we'll have a club if we get relegated (which looks likely)it will put a lot of people out of their year on year misery of following Salford RLFC including myself. The move to Barton finished the club off for me, poor management from the previous lot and Koukash threatening to walk every other year and spitting his dummy out affects the club on and off the field.
First class Rugby League no longer belongs in Salford, they will never attract the required fan base and it's best they hammer the final nails in the coffin.
I had some of the best times of my life at The Willows and made great friends who I will know for the rest of my life but tbh I will not miss going up to the AJ Bell whatsoever, it's a crying shame especially to see fans of other clubs laughing at our demise, I can understand them hating Koukash but the genuine decent Salford fan? Pathetic.

Solly , it seems to me you want your own Pity Party,I don't know anyone who is laughing at your so called demise, you are not down and out yet anyway, again nobody can predict what Marwan will do, not even Marwan at times,I agree it's not looking good for Salford but it's not over by a long way, for a start I think you will win your last 3 middle 8s games, that gives you 8 points and the MPG, which is a start.Charlie knows.Remember the Alamo.
Ignore Solly Charlie. I dont think he has been to the AJB in the last couple of years.
Just look at his posts - all negative - hasnt given one positive mention for a long time.
The sad thing is that there are many fans of the same ilk - all they do is moan, nit pick & criticise - which is easy to do.
Until the points deduction we have seen the best Salford team for maybe 15 years - since then its clear the unit hasnt been as strong for obvious personal reasons but as you say - there is still hope that Marwan will confirm that he is staying & that would give everyone on the field a bit of a lift.

I can really identify with your assessment, I have continued to be a season ticket holder & have supported for more than 40 odd years, however over the last year feel I am going through the motions. I stay because I don't want to give up on the only professional club in the city of Salford, a sport I played at school & have supported ever since. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but looking back the club died when it moved from the Willows. Passing down Weaste lane the other day I thought why we had ever contemplated moving from its heart beat to a wasteland in Barton, clearly pushed by the RFL who told us we would never be considered for the super league at the Willows, the very same organisation that continues to put the knife in now. I think it easy for other to patronize or ridicule our support but since moving to Barton I defy any other supporters to injure the disproportional penalties inflicted on the club year after year. I also believe the owner as a death wish on the genuine proud supporters of Salford who no longer want to be part of the circus.
Finally I don't have any issues of playing rugby in the championship, however we first need a club & supporter as the main ingredient, sadly I think we are sitting on the edge of neither.

Yeah and there is too many fans like you, ridiculously blind and everything the club does is ace.
I was there against Huddersfield so nice one Sherlock, say what you want but me and many others have been blindly loyal for 20 + years I didn't miss a single game for 5 years straight and it was only a change in career that stopped it.
I wasn't going to put up with it much longer anyway, like many others I am sick and tired of having to put up with farce after farce year after year, why do you think our crowds are so pathetic?
I would love to be positive about the club but what on earth have we to be positive about now?
Constant embarrassments on and off the pitch and I am fed up of trying to defend it, we are a laughing stock in our own city.
I'm not sure why Salford fans seem to be throwing the towel in so soon. You have to play 3 championship sides yet so you'll get 8 points minimum in the Qualifiers. Beat Leeds , which your more than capable of and its 10 and straight back up . If I where Huddersfield I still be vey concerned . HKR Leeds and Leigh and London , 8 points at best and Leigh is a big 4 point game . I'd expect Salford Hudds and Leigh to all finish with 8 points . Then its all down to points difference.

No I don`t think everything the club does is `ace` but unlike yourself I support the club home and away - thats what fans are all about isnt it? Far too many Salford fans are just living in the past - those days will never be repeated so if you feel by continuing to gripe at every turn then maybe it would be a good idea to pack it in.

The Vicar
Your Grace, Charlie agrees with most of what you say , I can see 3 teams ending up on 8 points , I just hope Leigh can beat Batley and Hudds to end on 10 points to avoid the MPG,remember me at them big white gates your worship.Charles,Eusebio, Peroni ,Caroli is the name.
