Making wholesale changes every year just adds instability and increases the odds of signing players that bring problems. I'm sure had we lost last weekend several of our players would have been targets of other SL clubs. Fortunately this squad has much more team spirit and is relatively young so we don't need to replace too much garbage or seasoned veterans. I think after what these players have been through this year it will galvanise them as a group and make them mentally stronger and determined. Robert Lui has been playing on one leg for weeks and Carney was obviously a huge loss in the 8's but we still pulled through. The key now is keeping hold of the nucleus of this young squad and replacing 3-4 players maximum to continue the building process.
