To quote john Maxwell ' In most cases those who want power probably shouldn't have it, those who have it do so for the wrong reasons.

The forum has already been renamed , it's the Shed , not the ST.

If I wanted to be a mod the last thing I would do is start a topic promoting candidacy. ?
Each to their own I guess.

Nothing lasts forever.

I don't stick my head up much on here as I really don't want it shot off!

For what it is worth, there is too much nonsense and whataboutery on here. but to think Mario is the solution is hilarious.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

It's a bit weird to see someone say that they want to be a mod.

As an ex-mod on the Saints forum it's generally the mods and the admin who will make the decision on the replacements.

I'm sure it will give a few giggles on the mods forum though.

Which is what happened!:there are mods on the board, the opening poster thinks It should be him despite him being one of the most ( rightly or wrongly) devisive posters on here. I think the mods we have do a great job, allow lots of discussion and not as quick as others to hit the ban button!

This forum is a shadow of it's former self. I rarely bother posting these days.

However here is my twop'th for what it is worth. A mod should be seen as a neutral sane voice that allows debate but recognises where someone has overstepped the mark. They don't get involved in petty squabbles or post rumour after rumour just to see what effect it has on fans. Mario, Stanley, Mitch enjoy the baiting far too much to be considered as mods.

I can't imagine anything worse than being a moderator, I bait only Mario as I find the puerile drivel he pulls out of a RL tombola counter productive and utterly nonsensical.

Any potential Mod should be someone who has the club/fans well being at heart and impeccable impartiality.

I totally agree with the first half of your "twop'th, however why the hell are you bringing my name into the Moderator equation, i haven't declared any intentions of putting myself forward and would like to keep it that way.Talk about baiting. Hypocrite.

Mario would be a fair Moderator in my book, he's not part of the ''clique'' what this forum has had for many years which fundamentally needs shaking from the bottom of its shoe.

Clique ? there is hardly anyone posting.

I'm not baiting anyone I was just stating that those I named enjoy the argument too much to be mods. It had nothing to do with whether they wanted the job.

Mario doesn't have the respect of all sides and posts too much drivel

As far as I am concerned this is the end of my involvement and probably the site as well.

We all need to have a serious discussion on the future of this forum as a matter of urgency. We are now nearing crisis point and if we dont come to a resolution soon new members will be put off commenting as every thread turns into mud-slinging and personal insults and arguments.

We are at a crossroads. Iain and Chico have now relinquished moderating duties and have withdrawn the naming rights to the forum with them. We need strong and committed new moderators and we need to discuss who, if anyone, will be banned from the forum. I have put my hand up and already said I will be a moderator. I have had several people private message me suggesting I become a moderator and am now publicly offering to do so again. Far too often the rules of the forum are being broken and they need to be enforced.

Our support has always been polarised between the apologists and the pessimists and maybe this has become more apparent in the Koukash years. This cant be allowed to spill over into attacks on this forum though.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to move forward, improve this forum or even willing to become a moderator please do comment below. Any sarcastic or unconstructive comments arent welcome and will be removed.

Maybe start by not posting crap on other sites like you have on ours in the last couple of weeks
