Hmm I'm well aware he never played for Wire , sorry to be too oblique. that was the point !
Coley is to Wire What Morley is to Salford , never actually played for you, always raised his game when he played against you and destined to play out his career without turning out for his hometown team. You'll claim now you never needed him but really you would have given your hind teeth to have seen him in your colours in his prime. and now it's too late that's sad.
I get where you are coming from but I don't think they are that comparable. Morley was predicted by many to be past his best when he left the Roosters but he's been more consistent in his spell at Warrington than he was in his early days in Leeds (didn't see him regularly enough in the NRL to compare there but maybe the peak of his career was in 2002-04 in the great Roosters team that got to 3 GF's when he was the best forward in the NRL).
Coley on the other hand I don't reckon has been the same player since he left Salford. He's still a decent player but I thought his peak was around 2002-06 at Salford when he was a very good player and should have been in the GB set up more. I reckon in recent years we have had better forwards than Coley in Morley, Carvell and Wood. But in the mid 2000s thats when we could have done with Coley, when he was at Salford.
