unfortunately i cannot see any other result than a wire win but we are going to struggle we have now got 8 players in total playing the exiles match so tiredness takes its toll if we play our main forwards who are both in the england squad it depends how much they have left in the tank if they rest them and play the likes of cooper mitchell they arent as big units as mozza and gazza so we may struggle down the middle should be an interesting game to see how we cope

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

It makes me think that Wood's thinking were only playing Salford. How would you view it if you were playing say St George and read a similar comment from one of their players? "Well put young lads in there and can come up with a win over Warrington"

Major banana skin if Smith chooses not to allow players to back up. In the past he hasnt allowed it and we will struggle with more than half the team out.

i'd say good on them for promoting the world club challenge ;)

i know what you're saying here, but i reckon if you look at it in context, our record with putting young uns in this year is pretty good, gaz o'brien came in cold and looked awesome v cas, and we dropped rhys Evans in versus leeds and he had the game of this life.

Look at at more from the POV that our kids are good and ready to slot in the first team.

It's OK for one or two inexperienced young players to come into a confident, inform, experienced team. Any more than a 2 or 3 will weaken the team and you will see a noticable difference. Take Rhys Evans as an example - He looked an outstanding prospect in a strong Warrington team a couple of months back. However, when I saw him playing for Leigh on loan the other week he looked a shadow of the prospect he did for wire and knocked on about three times.

I can't see anything other than a Wire win TBH. Although there's always a chance, RL being what it is. As for youngsters, if a coach such as Smith puts them in he must think they r good enough. Theredshed makes a good point though, youngsters will shine with confident and in-form team-mates rather than struggle with less-able team mates. (No offence to Leigh supporters here, either)

No problem. The £20 "sizzler" promotion (pie, pint, programme and main stand admission ticket) for the Crusaders RL v Salford away game on 24th June is definitely worthy of its own thread.
