, Anyone remember going to a pre SL New Years Day fixture at Odsal , when it wasn't below freezing  Judging by the state of the Headingley Pitch , their undersoil heating consisted of clay pipes , where they sent small warm blooded mammals ( ferrets & Weasels ) down when it got braw.. they had to abandon it when their ferret wangler retired. Occassionally a lost weasel suddenly turns up on the pitch mid game ...

On another note, if you all think back to amount of problems Salford have faced in getting the new ground sorted, public enquiries, credit crunch, change of planning law, casino idea taken from us etc etc etc would it really surprise anybody with this luck that we get 6 foot of snow and the first game is OFF
