Where's the 4162 coming from? Sky and bbc had 5250 for there attendances, and more to the point it was flashing on the score board after the game, and why can't an extra 1700 turn up? If 1700 people who went the games brought family or friends with them there's your extra 1700 it's not that hard to understand. Im sick of all this negativity on here it's like some Salford fans get a kick out of things going t1ts up at the club, you probably didnt think 10000 turned up for our last game at the willows. Typical bad attitude that's holding the club back!
4,162 was quoted by someone earlier in this thread as the attendance for the match on Friday and The Guardian also printed that attendance. Like yourself I would also like to know where these dual attendances for both matches are coming from. I have emailed the club and am awaiting a response.
My comment about the 1,700 extra on the attendance is based purely on knowledge of the recent history of Salford RLFC and our consistent struggle to attract decent crowds and applying some basic logic to that. If these extra people did turn up, which I sincerely hope they did, then I hope this increase is replicated for all the remaining home games this season because we will be in for some superb crowds. I can assure you I would get nothing but pleasure from a successful Salford side and I don't get a kick out of things going wrong, on the contrary I am infuriated by it. I always find the comment on this forum that people's 'attitude' is holding the club back as laughable. Ever thought that the club themselves are holding us back?
The difference between the two reported attendances on Friday is 1,088. If the corporate was at full capacity of 750 that still leaves 338 additional attendees. Early Bath you are sensible poster who appears in the know with the internal workings of the club - can you shed any light on this?
