.................. gives you a chance to see behind the scenesWarrington Hospital is opening its doors to the public with its first ever Hospital Family Open Day on Saturday 17th September.
The event runs from 12.30 to 3.30pm and gives Wolves fans the opportunity to learn about the work of their local hospital, find out tips for improving their health and gain advice from doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff.
Over the last year the Wolves have been working closely with the hospital, making regular visits to the wards and departments and having a player ambassador role for the children's ward which rotates between members of the squad.
There will be over 50 stands from teams across the hospitals ranging from diabetes and stroke awareness to NHS careers and even first aid for kids. There will also be a children’s ride, face painting and a local band on hand to entertain. You can also go on a tour of some of the hospital departments to see what goes on there. The operating theatres, maternity, catering and endoscopy units are running short tours that can be booked on the day.
The open day event takes place in and around the main entrance and education centre at the hospital on Lovely Lane. Parking is free for the afternoon in the main car park at the hospital so drop in and find out more.
