Although it would be a massive boost to English RL to build a national stadium, the RFL would need to find £300+ million to build a decent national RL stadium which housed say 50,000
RFL turned a profit of £8 million last year, so it wouldnt be possible, apart from a maybe a cheeky bid for the Olympic stadium tenancy?
Have you ever watched RL in an Athletics stadium? I spent the best part of 10 years watching games at Gateshead. Watching over a running track isn't great, opera glasses should be standard issue.
