Put it this way: if we had less money but more players like Chris Riley and were a club of the stature of, say, Hull KR or Quins, I'd feel happier with my rugby than I have in the last couple of years.

I have a lot of time for Chris Riley mainly because of his attitude and his consistency when given a chance, he has made far more progress than Kevin Penny from far less oppertunities.

Done it. Apart from some mild criticism from JWP, there is almost universal sympathy/understanding. Only a certain LWF slags him off in terms he now uses for others.

Does that really come into account, though? Most teams are operating close to maximum Salary Cap, it's usually judgement of where the money is spent that causes Supporters' distress.
