Every sport always mentions the effect that the appointment of a new coach has on the team with players looking to impress the new gaffer etc. etc.

Really confusing that it hasn't happened for us, apart maybe from last week and that was probably too early in the new regime.

they may have decided to give him a few weeks to settle in, they dont want all their mates thinking they are trying to be teachers pet !

Oh so you think let's judge him on his 2nd game in charge instead of his 1st.Give the guy a chance at least before you start looking at the coach.

Lowes is still there !! anyone who signs for Wire immediately takes the path of least resistance, however well intentioned they may be when first arriving at the club.

Smith needs to take out one of the big boys (eg Briers) to show that he means business, I think he will

I think the squad as a whole are in shock. As I have mentioned recently, as a club I have thought we were player orientated, they held the sway. With Smith here I reckon that has been turned on it's head and there are quite a few still reeling from it.

Conversely, I think certain layers, eg; Morley will thrive on the new environment.

As always, it is never dull being involved with this club.

I totally agree.

I think there's people in our squad that will either have to remember what it's like to have a level of proffesionalism 24/7, or simply move on to another environment.
