Paul Johnson back to Wigan : Fri May 08, 2009 12:28 pm
Meanwhile, there's some speculation that Warriors are interested in bringing Paul Johnson back to Wigan.

The Great Britain second row played 108 games for the club before leaving for Bradford in 2004, and he has been at Warrington for the last two years.

Warriors have already raided Warrington this season to sign GB centre Martin Gleeson.

This would be wonderful news if we could offload Johnson to the Pie Eaters as well.

I'm on the fence with PJ. If he stays, fine, although I'd like to see him in the second row, with him backing up as a utility centre. (Not wing). If he left, I wouldn't be fussed either. He's excellent out of acting half, and takes alot of the pressure of the forwards, I just don't rate him on the wing. I actually think, error wise, he's been our poorest player in recent weeks.

Agree there, jack of all trades master of none. We have better wingers than PJ, better centres, and better second rowers. I bet he's on a decent salary as well, that could be better spent elsewhere.

No, you said "We'll get money for him", I was saying, Why, he's off contract.
