With us being the better side these days, we are licking our lips at inflicting more misery on Wire in the coming derby. I expect a fairly straight forward win.

Aus seem to be making meters much more easily despite Eng trying to slow the play down. Eng seeming slow and perhaps ill disciplined? Not been watching long enough to say with conviction.
Eng make a great length of the field break via Tomkins to Hall. Clark should have passed on the overlap but played it safe and was dragged into touch and receives penalty (I'm not sure how fair that decision was). Eng put Watkins on early in the next set, Widdop converts.

Much better period from England. Making much better meters and forcing an error from Inglis to get a repeat set from a high ball, again getting the ball out wide easily and with Sarginson putting Hall in. Widdop converts. Tomkins is still down on his knees minutes later after taking a knock in the challenge where Inglis made the error.

Aus force repeat set but bomb a try on 39th minute. England return the ball up and make a good break via a decent inside ball from Graham but Clark gave to Widdop who put it down. A good finish to the half I think. England managing to slow the Aussies down (much to their appeals).

I can do both . Although I'm not sure anyone cares right now.

Just 40 to go boys. Great first half. I'm buzzing, we are finally showing what we can do in this years 4 nations. Clark and Hill are doing us proud.
I agree on Hill and I think Clark has had some good scoots but overall I think Clark has the occasion getting to him. If he was more composed he would have passed on the first break and would have given a better ball to Widdop on the 2nd. I'm certainly not complaining, though.
