All rumour and the amount of people who know the actual truth is very small. Does sound like his agent played a blinder, but the truth could be that he was very close to signing with Wire, then decided against it?

I don't think he was ever going to be any more a Wire as S Tomkins was going to be.

My guess it was never on and agent spin to improve any deal at Stains.

We are better off developing Joe Philbin.
