I have nothing against Wigan per se. I was only a nipper in the 90s when they dominated, but by the time I was a teen it was Bradford and Leeds' turn to run the show. But by then I had learned to despise a certain club from up the road with the most vindictive, sarcastic, victim-playing fans in the league. Their last minute wins against us and vile arrogance just cemented my hatred of them. I could never say the same about Wigan, despite them being kind of 'grubby' under Macguire and Wane, there's no doubt to anyone who watched on Saturday that they're now streets ahead of the other teams in SL, and the only ones likely to give Penrith a run once again. Just have to tip my hat to them, because they are class.

Wigan are the benchmark club we need to emulate. Everything about them is geared to success and the "in season" quadruple would be an incredible achievement and worthy of SPOTY Team of the Year.

I don't hate them, I admire them.
