He's a good hard hitting centre, but he runs out the line far too much constantly looking for the big hit.
It worked against Cas but a quality side like KR will simply see a big gap and exploit it.
He also still won't pass most of tge time, we had an on the plate try if he had just simply passed to Thewlis, but even as it was happening i said he won't pass, and he didn't and he lost the ball.
But all in all he's a good powerful defender and runner of the ball, would he make a better back up second row. To be fair he's a decent player and we could do much worse, if we keep him i won't complain, but yeah i think the centres in Lindop, King and Wrench would be my prefered choices.

More to centre play than "hard hitting defence" especially when we consider he misses a number of tackles when he rushes out of the line. 


He has 2 tries and 0 assists.


I am convinced we can do better with an overseas quota spot, and we have talented players in his position. 

Totally agree.  I do think he has got better over the course of this season, he is trying to do more in attack but when you compare his centre play to someone like Peta Hiku it's like night and day.  His big hits are great and he's clearly a popular guy but he still needs more work on defensive reads and his attack.  If he wasn't a quota player I'd be ok with him in the squad.  I think Wrench *when fit) and Lindop are better, more dangerous all round centres.

Yes so basically he's not 100% rock solid in defence neither is he threatening with the ball other than running hard. We need more from a centre even if he is popular. 


But who knows with Burgess and Chambers calling the shots, I mean they signed Russell - he'll probably get a 3 year deal.
