We wouldn't move for Briers, we have 3 half backs in Webster, Duffy and Thackeray, and are apparently at full cap. If we did bring someone in, it would be a prop.
Barrow tried to sign James Webster but he opted for us, maybe they are still looking for a big half back signing.

Why would that be a good swap ? We need experience and proven, reliable performers at the min with a touch of class and not a rookie that hasn`t achieved anything at this level so far other than having a bit of potential. We don`t have the luxury to chance this sort of rookie at the min given our present situation.
Briers and Monaghan would free up a massive amount of cap space and that should be used well, i don`t think Tony Smith should rush anything and i would back him if he used the rest of this season to get to the root of the clubs problems and weed out some of the rotten apples.
Personally i think it could take upto 3 years to get us to anything like a proper team that plays for each other and to understand what putting on a professional RL jersey should mean to a player. |
