Honest to christ, I was hoping that he wouldn't be asked about this but I suppose it was inevitable.

It does make him look a bit of a tool but as captain what else do we expect him to say about the head coach, who ever it is/was.

Exactly. He can't really be quoted in the press as saying:

"Well I'm not very pleased with this appointment. I think Smith is a 0sser who wouldn't know a rugby ball if it smacked him in the head"
