12 weeks which has been suggested by JP is taking the p!$$.

How long do you reckon your body would take to recover from a season of Super Laegue rugby. Or more to the point how long do you think it would take for you to get your body in shape for a game of rugby (even tag)?

I agree with Moz.

Peacock is an overgrown primate who lacks the intelligence and communication skills of the average ape. His opinions, no matter how poorly communicated, are of no interest and have no worth.

End of discussion.

However, if Peacock played for the Wire and Moz for Leeds, I'm sure you would be saying the complete opposite.

I'd like to see the season finish just before xmas, and re-start on say January 5th, or whatever the Monday is.

Last game before xmas, the players go hone at halftime if they've done their work.

How come Peacock only had a 15 day break?

Englands involvement in the world cup ended on the 15th November - was he back in training on the 30th November?

if like the Saints players, he wasnt back in training until January - he had around 5 or 6 weeks off.

The season probably is too long if we're going to win international games consistently at the end of it, however the International matches would never generate enough revenue to cushion the loss of matches if the fixtures were cut back - so looks like we're stuck with it.

Something I beleve that should be stopped though is asking players to play on both Good Friday and Easter Monday and then the Friday after. Players need to be given chance to recover to be able to perform at their optimum in every game.

I wouldn't like to see a massive reduction in games, but Peacock is a top fella and a fine ambassador for the game. Accordingly, his opinion should be respected.
