I would imagine that Morely is already thinking that his move to the wire was one of the worst decisions he has made in his career. Taking the captaincy away from him would no doubt lead to him 'needing a fresh challange', resulting in your club losing its best player. It truly would be the dumbest thing you could do, so in true wire tradition i expect the announcement that he has been stripped of the captaincy imminently.

Well i dont think he would care if he was, like most of the other Posters on this topic i think he is a great player. But Captain No he is only on the field 10 mins at a time.
Two players wont have the same opinions in a game so that is probably where the problems lie, 1 minute he is calling the shots.. the next minute he goes off, someone else takes over the captaincy, the team wont have a clue whether they are coming or going.

What rubbish, shouting has nothing to do with it.

How many trophies did Saints win when Chris Joynt was captain....

Thought clarke was, at least upto last year.

I'd like to close this post with a final comment,

I think that it has everything to do with it.Just from your own perspective in life or work you come across people who can motivate you by little things they say - charisma call it. Of course you can get people who also lead by example - I think that we need a blend of both.
Joynt is you look back was actually very vocal, plus all these motivational speakers seem to make a hell of a lot of money so there is something in it.

Felt sorry for Morley last night. Pity for Warrington the other players' didnt have his commitment. He led from the front all night and if the other players had his attitude and followed his example it could well have turned out differently.

Anybody would struggle as captain at the moment because they are clearly not a team either on or off the field.

I rate Morley as leading from the front but i do not believe that he has the verbal ability and enthusiasm to gee the team up when we are down. I firmly believe that we need a change there but i can not see any alternatives to be honest - maybe Westwood at a push.

Is this the same Westwood, who in interviews comes across as being the missing link between apes and the cavemen?...

No he wasn't. He says so himself. He'd often leave the talking to the halfbacks, or the more extrovert members of the team, the Longs, the Sculthorpes, Cunninghams, etc.
Within the Warrington dressing room, you would expect there to be Clarke, Higham, Briers, Monaghan to be the main voices heard, probably giving tactical wisdom, whereas perhaps Morley would say a little piece in attempt to get the rest of the team fired up, maybe just before they come out of the changing rooms.
