i think he is spot on. getting rid of lowes wont help us. the players are the issue.
they should know how to defend and tackle. everyone called for cullen to go and thats made no difference has it.

i really dont know what the issue is with us but i honestly dont think getting rid of lowess is the answer.

i do think that we need to stop booing as i think this has a very negative effect on the team. we should just be silent if they are playing badly.
Yes, IMO it has made it worse, showing that a coach is an important part of the team.

I agree with his comments in the League Express, for those who haven't read it.

"What worries me is that Mr Lowes appears to be targeted as being the only reason for the Wolves demise which is harsh and unfair. He is new to the hotbed of top level coaching so it was always going to take sometime for him to develop".
"Let's not forget when you appoint an inexperienced coach your taking a gamble however when you select top class international players you expect them to produce the goods".
"Matt King has not produced anything like what made him a kangaroo jumper and where is the magic from Briers and Monaghan, i don't hear cry's for them to be dropped or sacked, maybe they should be".
Can't hear the cries for Briers + Monaghan he says! He's not a regular user of this forum then.

I hadn't really commented on Lowes until I saw those two press conferences/ interviews last week. I have seen all I need to see now to know that he isn't up to it.

I don't blame him for taking the job though. I blame the people who offered it to him. And most of all the players who have failed to support him.

I agree. He first dropped Penny, then said he wouldn't be dropping players after two games - contradiction 1. He then came out after the Wakefield game and said he was positive about the result, despite being slumped in his seat with a face like a smacked a'rse, his actions contradicted his words - contradiction number 2. Lastly, he was speaking about the result and he said "From our point of view they were soft tries really. So yes, I am positive about the defence." How can you say giving soft tries away is positive?

I agree, it's not all Jimmy's fault, the player's don't/shouldn't escape criticism, and I'm sure the board are feeling quite a lot of guilt and regret at the moment.

Of course Lowes is the first point of call to be seen as the 'one' who should be out of the club. But we have problems all over the team such as effort, dedication and interest from the players.
And yes this should be partly coming from the coach being reflected onto the players, but surely the players can come up with some of this off their own backs??
Don't get me wrong, there are a select few of the squad who have been showing up (Higham, Carvell, Hicks) but the majority HAVE got to put more in.
Then the other stuff will fall into place, defence on own line, pressure on ball and completion of sets.
The basics must come first before the other stuff can follow.
Only time will tell if Lowes really is the man for this club....

I'm actually more concerned that Stevo has a column in a paper than Jimmy lowes' coaching....!!!!

The man (stevo) talks crap every weekend on TV why would someone let him do it in Paper as well....I'd rather Read Latchfordwolves fans views on Rugby than anything Stevo has to say.

With all these posts the point that we always get back to is ...Lowes should never have been given a coaching job in the superleague in the first instance, especially at a club with Warringtons aspirations he just aint upto it, no other club would wear it. Why is it always warrington if it was not so painfull it would be laughable ...Lord Hoyle and his top class coach promises....rubbish, ex MP involved with the club disaster written all over it. Obviously Lowes will take the wrap thats what comes with a managers job when a team underperforms, you take the job on, you take the knocks deal with it and use your exertise and experience to turn it around.

Not according to the view of Stevo. He thinks Lowes body langauge "said" he's ready for a fight and won't be throwing the towel in.

Stevo also said that the sacking of Lowes shouldn't even be considered. How anybody can agree with those views is laughable.

Thats because given the chance, Stevo 'would' sleep with Lowes.
