Just to go off on a tangent, but that incident was the first thing I thought off when I read Bobbie Goulding stating how he'd "long been impressed with the Warrington club".

Absolutely disgraceful I agree. I also seem to remember a certain John Stankovic getting abuse in Mr Smiths from an orate Wire fan refering to him as John Stinkybitch all night. The man quite rightly got annoyed to the point where he grabbed the fan. Thankfully it went no further.

i called Denis Betts "Dorris" one night as he would not get out of my way in that club that was opposite the JJB. It was not big or clever but luckily i was a bit slimmer and faster in those days to run out of the way
