That surprises me as they are consolidating their sponsorship spending their yields and profits are tumbling and they face tough competition in the marketplace.

However, they may see RL as a decent return on investment as it’s much cheaper than sponsoring RU regionally and probably reaches just as many potential travellers. The TV ratings are definitely higher for club RL so we may have tempted them that way,

Oh I don't know...winning the crossbar challenge on a Thursday night match and being able to redeem your win for a chippy supper on the way home sounds pukka.

Well will be happy if Emirates are staying on board, equally would of been happy to have Prime, both big companies,failing any of them then I’d settle for Martha’s chippy.

If true, this is brilliant

I know they might not put in as much money as a lesser name might but just having the name makes the sport look better al round IMO.

If only all teams could find sponsors not this stature

It was a record sponsorship deal for us when it was announced, I seem to recall it being upwards of £250k+ per year...?
