I'll never walk away from them. However, and this is worse in my view, I'm not sure I really give a toss any more. Not as much as I used to anyway. It's hard to be bothered when some of the players aren't. I used to believe, naively, that regardless of their performance, they'd always give their all. I just feel a bit silly now.

Couldn't have put it any better myself.

Who else is with us?

Count me in.

I have hotels booked in London and Edinburgh.

The idea behind London was for me to go to the game whilst the Mrs spent time with her daughter (who lives in Chiswick). Seriously tempted to write off the Hotel cost (only £19 Travellodge) as I really don't think I can be bothered with the time, effort and cost of the drive and weekend in London.

For Edinburgh I have booked another Travellodge for three nights. Was to be me and the lad taking in an Edinburgh RL weekend. Every chance now that the whole family will travel and we'll use the family room as a base for a long weekend exploring the highlands.

I really can't believe I feel the way I do. The performances, and the manner of the capitulations both this season and the back end of last season, has left me completley apathetic about the team, club and sport I have loved so much.

It feels odd doesn't it. I didn't feel ready for the season to start, and now I know why! Could NOT get myself up for the game at the weekend, almost didn't care less.

I was starting to feel guilty until i read some of the posts on here by who i see as the optimists on this board...

I started watching Wire in 1989 and Warrington R.L.F.C. has practically been my life since... There isn't many away grounds i haven't visited since then..

I've been to Wembley watched us in other finals and seen us win one trophy so i've been pretty success starved like many others....

The start of this season i made the decison not to renew my season ticket after what i saw as a shambolic end to last season and the Briers true fan comments (a player i rate)....
But i take no pleasure in making what i now see as the right decision...
I've seen dissappointing, lazy and downright embarrasing performances before under numerous coaches at Wire...

But i feel Saturdays pathetic effort was as bad as it gets....
The players aren't playing for the fans, and the fans have turned on the players...The coach simply is up to the job and even the little things around the club aren't up to standard..(The food kiosks running out, peoples reserved seats being sold)....

It really is a sad state of affairs...

There does seem to be quite a few people not
renewed season tickets know a few myself some
its financial but most are disillusioned, got a relative
who travels a similar distance to the author of the
topic he comes up from Gloucester, wonder if the
club are aware or give a toss about the people
who are making these extra efforts only to see
an apparent lack of effort/structure/organisation
when they get here.

In the same vein as another poster i support the
team no matter what, and who ever is in charge, i
take the view that its my chosen club and players
coach etc are temporary, but i do want something
positive to shout about , i think we've attracted
too many mercenarys, the whole start of the season
has got a feel of 2002 about it without the relegation
aspect, had a full pre season to work on problems
and we ship 66 points in 2 games, not good enough,
wont be going friday watch it on sky.

Scenario: If Wire put a 1st class performance on Friday and put 40 odd on Wakey would people change their minds?

I'm not joining that clique. I don't think I'm in the not Bothered Camp. I'm in the God Knows What I Think Camp. I can't see my enthusiasm coming back whilst the lie back and enjoy it jerk is in charge. But I'll still get really fed up if they lose on Friday (and play as badly again). 45 minutes vs St H, 10 minutes vs Catalans, 2 minutes vs Wakey?

The thing is, as disappointed as I am right now, I'll be glued to the TV on Friday, taking every tackle, bobbing up & down on the coach screaming 'get 'em off em ref' & appluading sarcasticly every decision that he gives for offside because you can't escape the fact that there's something inside you, something desperate for this chumps to roll their sleeves up, just click and realise their potential.

Which is about 75% of the reason I'll be going. The chance to visit the good pub is another reason. And maybe even first trip of the year to THE pub.

I've got a season ticket this year - at Leigh.

It was free for my 10 year old, £50 for my 16 year old and £140 for me. £190 for the 3 of us ,seating in the main stand at a cracking new stadium. The missus will pick and chose her games, it's unreserved seating so extra fans can come as and when and you can all sit together.

We'll pick and chose our Wire games this season. We walked away from the Hull KR friendly (early, after a crap 2nd half) and I said "that's why I wouldn't pay £550 for equivalent season tickets to watch that shower". I'd rather go and watch a bunch of enthusiastic young players working their nuts off to make their way in the game than supplement the pensions of some of our Big Time Charlies.
