Don't get me wrong, I played scrum half myself and loved that traditional role.
My guess is Brown will play on his favoured side and Gidley the other - if he signs of course.
They will need to be lining a signing up for 2018, whether that's Williams or someone else. but it needs to be someone significant. We've already messed this up once (admittedly Briers put a bit of a spanner in the works), hopefully lessons have been learnt.
