Well thats how to respond to a few seasons of turgid rugby. Sign an exciting hungry new coach and one of the best players in the world. I'm sure we've got some ingenious and moral reasons for carrying on on our path towards the middle 8s and below. This is why we'll never be as big as saints, toothless not ruthless....and this isnt just based on the barba signing.

I don't think He'll do a Sandow but I think he'll do a Mahe Fonua and ask to be released from the final year of his contract. A polite way of doing a Sandow I suppose.

I would expect Barba to be one of the players of the season and command some interest from the NRL. Though he is running out of clubs and they have a poop load of top class fullbacks so who knows.

lets hope despite being a saints player he sticks around for his full contract .....(and keeps his nose clean).

lets be honest the league needs some star players.... listening to Sky build up Greg Eden as the next Eric Groathe Senior is a bit much...

and hopefully we'll get our act together and stop the Kevin Brown standard of signings.

We do not even know for sure that we were even in for him he has played under Holbrook before so probably was tapped up shortly after Holbrook given the job.

Am I sad he has not signed for us a little, but we've seen the current trend of the nrl stars with off the field issues and should have learnt our lesson.

I find it ironic at how the stains fans reacted to hock and now the joy at signing someone who should face a 12 week ban. It may not due to a loophole in the where and who tested him. Good to have him in the league but I not distraught he is not playing for us next year

They don't all go in...but they were all penalties.
In other words, we were in for all off them.

With only 2 marquee spots and none available...it would have took a small rusk on final appearances to guarantee a bigger pay out to Barba than that he'll get from Saints.
