We all want the next Morley but quite frankly I'd settle for the next Paul Wood right now.
We won the 2012 CC final with a pack of Carvell, Hill, Waterhouse, Westwood, Harrison, Morley, Wood and McCarthy.
So: 3 great props (Morley, Carvell, Hill), 1 good one (Wood), 2 big SR's (Westwood & Waterhouse), 1 smaller workhorse (McCarthy) and a proper LF (Harrison).
In our last game against Cas we had: 2 great props (Hill & Cooper), 1 terrible one (Tasi), 4 smaller workhorses (Clark, Currie, Davies, Hughes), 1 impact prop (Philbin)
The balance is all off.
And adding Sita and BMM to the list as impact props just adds to the squad imbalance. Why wouldn’t we make say Warmsley an offer he can’t refuse and offload 2-3 to get better balance.
I think it is fair to say that ,especially in our trips to Old Trafford ,we have put up excellent efforts and have generally lost by fine margins ,brought about by mysteriously caused injuries to key players , uneven refereeing decisions &, at times, deliberate gamesmanship by the likes of Ryan Bailey.
Nah last 2 defeats by Wigan were because we couldnt score for 2 hours.
Thoughts on this guy, seems he is looking to come to the UK.
He would tick a couple boxes, tough experienced NRL prop forward. At 29 he’s obviously looking to play aboard/Final big pay day, before retirement. I’m sure he would provide a lot of go forward down the middle, although he has had couple serious long term injuries including an ACL. The RL Mole on Twitter has confirmed we are in talks with a prop down under...

I dont watch NRL so I haven't seen him. I do remember asotasi, dodds and rauhihi had similar write ups when we signed them, I was excited by them but we know what we actually got were players just after a payday or expecting an easy ride in superleague. Is this guy actually hungry to roll his socks up and aim to win trophies or is he just hungry for a big contract to finish on? Superleague is a physical completion at the top and I don't want any more passengers just wanting an easy ride. I hope we do sign at least one prop and I do hope that they are the player(s) we need, big tough, aggressive and importantly able to do a good 60 minutes a match if we need them to.
I think recruitment this season is massively important, we have done very well with widdop but he is 30 we have 5 years of him roughly (hopefully all with Austin partnering him), hill and Cooper are also getting on a bit, Clark, Charnley and ratchford too, we should be really be aiming to hit the ground running and make the most of it whilst it lasts. If we fail to challenge whilst that spine is together then we really have got something wrong, the coaching setup simply has to put together the supporting cast to go around these players and has to get the setup right to give them a platform to perform. I don't think we have that at the moment.
How on earth can people lump dodds in with the likes of asotasi and rauhihi and say he was after an easy pay day. The bloke suffered a horrific leg break a few games into his wire career and never played for us again. Extremely harsh to judge him on the 2 games he played(both of which we won!)

Probably because he was happy to take our money whilst injured and straight back off once got offer from oz here for a payday
